The Kingsmill Pendant Necklace takes the clean, tailored character of our Kingsmill designs and translates it into an elongated pendant silhouette. A generously scaled, flat gold medallion is shaped with a softly scalloped perimeter and finished with light hand-worked hammering, giving the surface subtle dimension without disturbing the restraint of the design.

The brushed gold finish is particularly beautiful here. Rather than reflecting light with a brilliant polish, Kingsmill catches it quietly across the hammered surface, revealing small variations in texture as the pendant moves. The scalloped edge softens the geometry of the round medallion and gives an otherwise uncomplicated piece of gold a distinctly collected quality.

WHY WE LOVE IT

We love the scalloped edge. It is subtle enough that the pendant still reads as a classic round gold medallion, but distinctive enough to make Kingsmill immediately more interesting than a simple disc.

Then there is the texture.

Light hammering gives the broad surface of the pendant character without introducing another material, stone, or decorative element. Against the brushed finish, those small irregularities catch softened points of light rather than creating a high-polish shine.

HOW TO WEAR IT

Start by giving Kingsmill all 36 inches.

Worn long over a crisp white shirt, fine-gauge sweater, simple dress, or navy blazer, the necklace creates a beautiful vertical line while the scalloped medallion provides exactly enough interest at the bottom.

The simplicity of the design makes it particularly good against solid color. Navy, cream, camel, pale blue, black—the brushed gold and scalloped silhouette do not require much assistance.

For a more collected Cavalier look, pair it with one of the Kingsmill bangles and allow the shared design language to connect the pieces without making them feel overly matched. A smaller gold stud or understated hoop keeps the attention exactly where it belongs.

And while layering is certainly an option, Kingsmill makes an excellent argument for leaving well enough alone.
