We love the considerable space between the hammered gold beads. Rather than filling the chain with decoration, the design allows each sphere to stand on its own, giving the necklace a lightness that makes 36 inches of gold remarkably easy to wear.

Start by wearing the Montpelier Station Necklace exactly as intended: long, loose, and entirely uncomplicated.

At 36 inches, it creates a beautiful vertical line over a white shirt, fine-gauge sweater, simple dress, or the sort of navy blazer that already knows its way around your wardrobe. The widely spaced gold spheres add just enough interruption to keep the look interesting without competing with everything around them.

When you want more gold near the face, double the Montpelier Station Necklace into two softly layered strands. The station beads naturally fall at different points, creating the look of an intentionally layered necklace without requiring you to negotiate three separate clasps before breakfast.
